Plum, Violet, Purple undertones… My Color Obsession for Fall Makeup

It isn’t the easiest color to wear, but for Fall I am really into makeup with purple undertones. Violets, lavenders, plums… or even Ruby and Wine. There are lots of options.

These vintage makeup advertisements all feature makeup with a purple undertone. Purple eyeshadows, wine lipsticks, and lavender toned blush. I hope these ads give you a little inspiration for your own vintage makeup this Fall.

  1. I love purple but I’m not sure how to put it on my face without making it look like my boyfriend beat me. I occasionally wear a dark plum eyeshadow that mostly looks brown…?

  2. I am so glad that I found your blog! I am joining a unit of re-enactors from WW2 USO Stateside Operations, and we must dress and style our hair and makeup appropriately for the era. I will be spending most of my day reading your blog! LOL
