The Faux Vintage Poodle Hairstyle… When your hair isn’t long enough

Piles of curl on the forehead were very popular in the 1940’s like below on Betty Grable and I think this could be a brilliant fake with some brushing, teasing and hairspray. There are a bunch of wiglets you can buy online that will help you make a faux poodle vintage hairstyle when you don’y quite have enough hair for the look.

Here is an option that comes in a ton of colors. Keep in mind that, most of the time, these types curly wiglet additions are made of synthetic hair and you won’t be able change the color. So it is important to get the closest color possible.

I don’t know, but it certainly caught my eye. This hairpiece is no longer around, but the wig company Jon Renau is. It is the Turbang Hair Bang by Jon Renau and it is described as a natural looking hair bang that has an adjustable strap to secure it to the top of your head. I picture this with the hair up or down, with a page boy or a ponytail, or as just an awesome addition to a photostudio or theater hair kit.

  1. Being a red head can be a pain when it comes to fake hair pieces these specialty pieces raely come in the full range of red colors. Which is a shame really.

But thankfully having curly hair at least I can curl my own hair. More work but oh well.
